Philae Temple

Start your tour with a visit to the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, one of the most important deities in ancient Egyptian mythology. Construction of the temple began during the reign of Ptolemy II and continued through the Roman period. Located on Agilkia Island, the temple can only be reached by a scenic motorboat ride across the Nile, making it one of the most picturesque sites in Egypt.

Aswan High Dam

Continue to the impressive Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt's greatest modern engineering achievements. Completed in the 1960s, the dam controls the flow of the Nile, provides irrigation water for millions of acres of farmland, and generates a significant portion of Egypt's electricity. The Unfinished Obelisk

Your final stop is the ancient Granite Quarries of Aswan, the primary source of granite for many of Egypt's temples, statues, and obelisks. Here you will discover the famous Unfinished Obelisk, believed to date back to the reign of Queen Hatshepsut during the 18th Dynasty. Measuring approximately 42 meters in length, it would have been the largest obelisk ever erected in ancient Egypt had it been completed.
