Overview & Highlights
This private Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis day tour covers three of the most important archaeological sites near Cairo in a single expertly guided day — taking you on a 4,500-year journey through the birth of Egyptian civilisation.
Begin at the Giza Pyramid complex, where the three great pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure stand in timeless formation. Visit the enigmatic Great Sphinx — the world’s largest monolith — and the beautifully preserved Valley Temple of Khafre.
Then drive south to Saqqara, Egypt’s oldest and most extensive necropolis, dominated by the iconic Step Pyramid of Djoser — the world’s first monumental stone building, designed by the genius architect Imhotep around 2700 BC.
Walk through the beautifully restored mortuary complex surrounding the pyramid, decorated with elaborate carved panels, and explore nearby mastaba tombs with exquisitely coloured reliefs of daily life.
Continue a short drive to Memphis, Egypt’s legendary first capital, established by Pharaoh Menes when he united Upper and Lower Egypt around 3100 BC. The open-air museum displays one of the most impressive ancient Egyptian statues ever found: a colossal alabaster statue of Ramses II and a massive standing sphinx carved in alabaster.

Trip of a lifetime
From the pyramids at Giza to the temples of Luxor, every day was perfectly organised. Our guide was knowledgeable, warm and made sure we never felt rushed. Highly recommend Egyptian Trips.
Seamless from start to finish
Booking was easy, the driver was always on time, and the hotels were excellent. The Nile cruise was the highlight of our holiday. We will be back for the desert tour next year.
Knowledgeable guides, no hidden costs
Everything was exactly as described. Our Egyptologist brought the history to life and the whole team was responsive on WhatsApp throughout the trip. Five stars well deserved.
Better than we imagined
A truly authentic experience. The food, the people and the sites all exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to the team for handling every detail so we could just enjoy Egypt.
Felt safe and looked after
As two women travelling alone we felt completely safe and cared for the entire time. The itinerary balanced sightseeing with rest perfectly. Cannot recommend them enough.
Outstanding value
Great communication before the trip and flawless execution once we arrived. Abu Simbel at sunrise was unforgettable. Thank you Egyptian Trips for a wonderful week.
