The Great Pyramid of Khufu

Continue to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest pyramid at Giza and the only surviving monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Built during the Old Kingdom, the pyramid was created on a monumental scale using millions of limestone blocks.

Your guide will explain how the ancient Egyptians organized the construction of this extraordinary structure and why it remains one of the most famous monuments in human history.

You will have time to admire the pyramid from different viewpoints and take photographs of this extraordinary achievement of ancient Egyptian engineering.

The Great Sphinx

Next, visit the Great Sphinx, one of the most recognizable monuments in Egypt. Carved from a single limestone outcrop, the Sphinx has the body of a lion and the head of a human, traditionally associated with Pharaoh Khafre.

We will explain the theories surrounding its construction and symbolism, as well as its importance within the Giza necropolis.

Valley Temple

Continue to the Valley Temple, an important part of the Giza complex and one of the best-preserved structures from ancient Egypt's Old Kingdom.

Grand Egyptian Museum

After lunch, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located near the Giza Pyramids.

The museum offers an extensive journey through thousands of years of Egyptian history, combining ancient artifacts with modern architecture and exhibition spaces.

Domestic Flight to Luxor

After breakfast, check out from your Cairo hotel and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor.

Once arrival, your EgyptianTrips representative will meet you at Luxor Airport and transfer you to begin your exploration of the city, often called the world's greatest open-air museum.

Karnak Temple Complex

Your first major visit will be the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest religious complexes ever constructed.

The complex developed over many centuries and was an important religious center dedicated primarily to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. As you walk through its monumental gateways, courtyards, columns, and sacred areas, your EgyptianTrips Egyptologist will explain the history and religious significance of the site.

The Great Hypostyle Hall, with its enormous columns and detailed inscriptions, is one of the highlights of the visit.

Lunch

After your morning sightseeing, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to your Luxor hotel.

Luxor Temple by Night

In the evening, meet your EgyptianTrips guide and visit Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated after sunset.

Located in the heart of modern Luxor, the temple was built and expanded by several ancient Egyptian rulers and was closely connected with the worship of Amun and the renewal of kingship.

Walking through the temple at night provides a different atmosphere, as the illuminated columns, statues, reliefs, and ancient walls create an impressive setting.

Continue to the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Luxor's most distinctive monuments.
